Athens Sightseeing with Acropolis Museum:

From the Acropolis to Omonia Square, with the half-day sightseeing and Acropolis museum tour you'll see all the famous sites of ancient and modern Athens on this comprehensive morning tour. Offering a perfect overview of the modern city, this guided halfday tour will help you get your bearings if this is your first visit to Athens. The Athens half-day tour depart for a photo stop at Panathinaiko Stadium whe-re the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. It is the only stadium built out of white marble. Proceed, passing by Zappeion and Temple of Olympian Zeus. You will then pass the Athens Trilogy which includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Old Parliament, Constitution Square ,Russian Orthodox Church, and finally ACROPOLIS (visit Propylae, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens). Continue the expert guided Athens sightseeing and museum tour with a pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theater, in order to visit the ACROPOLIS museum. Avoid and skip the lines of the new museum. Main attractions such as votives, artifacts of every day life, statues from archaic period, Caryatids, and of course the Parthenon hall with the metopes, the pediments and the frieze will impress you.
Free afternoon to stroll the “Plaka” (old town) area. Overnight in Athens.
We start our first tour of 5 days “Northern Greece”
This tour provides you with an ideal opportunity to explore Macedonia, the Land of Alexander the Great, make a unique journey through 7.000 years of Greek History and meet parts of a Countryside you will always remember.
Drive through the fertile plain of Beotia region, pass by the towns of Thebes, Levadia and via the picturesque village of Arachova, arrive in Delphi. Visit the Archaelogical Site and the Museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of astonishing complex of Meteora, gigantic rocks. Overnight.
Visit Meteora, among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless Monasteries, whe-re you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art.
Depart from Kalambaka, drive through Trikala and Larissa, arrive and visit the Archaeological Site of Dion.
Admire also from here the gigantic figure of Mount Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece and home of the 12 Gods (Greek Mythology) after the visit depart for the town of Naoussa. Overnight.
Depart in the morning for the town of Kastoria, the Greek center of the fur industry and also famous for its beautiful Lake. A Prehistoric Lake settlement 7.000 years old, was discovered here and you will admire the rare findings in the tiny local Museum together with the recreation of the Old Settlement. After the visit of Kastoria continue driving and arrive in the picturesque town of Edessa. Here you can seat next to the town's famous Landmark, the Waterfall and enjoy a drinka cup of coffee. Return to Naoussa for overnight.
Leave in the morning for Pella, the Ancient Capital of the Kingdom of Macedonia. Visit the Site. After the visit, depart for Thessalonica the second largest City in Greece. Visit the City and the Archaeological Museum. Return to Naoussa for overnight.
Depart from Naoussa in the morning and since the area is famous for the production of some of the finest wines in Greece, we shall make a very interesting visit to the local «BOUTARI» winery.
After the visit we shall drive to Vergina. Visit the very important Museum with all the astonishing and priceless findings belonging to the Macedonian civilization which recent excavations brought to light.
Here we shall also view the remains of King Phillip's (father of Alexander the Great) Palace. After the visit we shall start driving South and through the Valley of Tempi, Lamia, Thermopylae (visit the Leonida's Monument) and Kammena Vourla, arrive in Athens late in the afternoon and overnight.
Day at leisure in Athenspossibility to a day Cruise to the Saronic Islands :
Take a day cruise from Athens to the fabulous Greek islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina for a relaxing day on the sea.
With all your transport, transfers and buffet lunch organized, you can sit back and enjoy your leisurely day cruise with free time on each island to explore.
After transferring from Athens to Piraeus by motor coach, you'll set sail for the island of Poros, whe-re you'll have free time for strolling and shopping.
Next, it's on to the island of Hydra. You will have about 1 hour and 45 minutes at leisure to enjoy the unique charms of Hydra Island, whose amphitheater shape once served as a safe shelter for Saronic Pirates.
From the decks, you will be able to admire the very special architecture and dramatic landscapes of this island, whose old traditional stone houses and mansions silently stand witness to a long and turbulent history.
Upon arrival in Egina (Aegina) you can either an excursion to the Temple of Aphaia (cost not included)take a walk around the main town. Aegina is one of the Saronic islands of Greece in the Saronic Gulf. The lovely island is only 31 miles (50 kilometers) from Athens, and is a popular getaway for Athenians during the summer months.
After sailing back to Piraeus port you'll be transferred to Athens. Overnight in Athens.

Participants in this tour will have an afternoon and a morning free in order to see more of the picturesque town of Nauplion that the Venetians called «Naples of Greece».
Today we will discover Corinth Canal - Mycenae (visit), Nauplion, afternoon free and Overnight.
Nauplion - Epidauros (visit) - return to Athens and overnight.
